Kil Hamuru(Clay Bar) İşlemi Nasıl Yapılır.
In car cleaning, clay is used to purify the exterior of your car from dust, dirt, and other particulate matter that accumulate over time. It is generally used on painted floors, but you can achieve very good results using glass, fiberglass, plastic and metal surfaces. How to clean the surface with clay? Continue reading!
1- Wash your car
As with all detailed cleaning procedures, you should first start with a clean car. First of all, wash your car in the normal way, free of dirt and dust as much as possible without using clay.
2- Cut and shape
First, cut the molded clay into three pieces so that you don't finish the entire mold at once! Soften a piece of clay by kneading until it becomes easily shaped. First turn it into a ball, then flatten it to about 2 centimeters thick.
3- Soak and start application
Squeeze a lot of clay fluid over an area of about half square meters. Water as a liquid will also work. Apply the clay to the wetted area without applying too much pressure. If clay starts to stick to the floor during application, apply more water or liquid. During the application, you may feel the clay picking up particles on the floor or even hear the sound! Check the clay regularly; if too many particles have accumulated on it, you can draw the floor you are applying. Fold the soiled part in and continue the application with the clean part of the clay.
4- Dry and continue
Dry the area with a clean Divortex microfiber cloth. Clay applied areas should be smooth and slippery like glass. If this is not the case, continue rubbing the area with clay. Repeat these steps on other surfaces and clean your entire car with clay.
Invisible holes created by dust and particles adhering to the paint before cleaning with clay can cause corrosion in time. To avoid this, always apply a coat of wax or paint protection after the treatment.
BONUS: Remember these!
- Clay cleaning will destroy the particles on the floor, but does not remove scratches or blemishes in the paint.
- Try not to drop the clay during use; you can easily draw your paint with a clay that collects particles much larger than the ground. If the clay has fallen to the ground, do not reuse it.
- If you do not keep your car in the garage, you can clean it with clay up to 4 times a year. If you have a covered garage, 1 or 2 times a year is enough.
